Fifth Wheeler Caravan Suspension and ATM Upgrade

The Challenge
Mike’s Venture RV fifth wheeler had a worn out Al-Ko rubber torsion axle and needed an increased ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) from 2500kg to 3500kg.

The Solution
New Timbren Silent Ride suspension with stronger axles, bigger (12”offroad electric) brakes, bigger wheels (to also match the tow vehicle), taller ride height and reinforced van chassis and drawbar to handle the extra load.
The modified trailer was then inspected, and a compliance plate was issued with the ATM revised to 3500kg and the GTM at 3000kg.
